A living world simulation
Start a world with a few bands of people. Each one has hunger, fears, friends, memories, ambitions and beliefs. They gather, farm, fall in love, argue, teach, invent, trade, pray and go to war. Press play and watch a civilisation write its own history over thousands of years. It never turns out the same way twice.
Runs entirely in your browser. AI voices are free and need no account or key.
Every person weighs their needs (food, safety, company, purpose) against their personality, skills, memories and what their community lacks, and chooses what to do each day. Habits form, trades emerge, and nobody is told what to be.
Conversations change opinions, pass on skills and inventions, spread gossip, faith, rumours of good land and disease. Friendships, feuds and marriages grow from them.
Fifty inventions, from fire to thinking machines. Someone working in a field can stumble on the next idea. Without writing, knowledge can die with the last person who knew it.
Bands become villages, chiefdoms, kingdoms, republics. Leaders tax, build, wage war and get overthrown. Money, inequality, religions, empires and revolutions all arise from people's choices.
On top of the built-in minds, a language model gives leaders real deliberation and lets you talk to anyone. It uses free sources in turn: a small model that runs inside your browser, then free online models. If none answer, the simulation simply carries on with the built-in minds. It never stops.
A world of thousands of people over thousands of years would need billions of AI calls. So every person runs on the fast built-in mind, and the AI layer speaks for the few you are watching and the people in charge.
